Sad News.
I regret to inform you that Sylvia Bennett died in Blackpool Victoria Hospital on the 6th August. Sylvia was a member of East End and had previously played for Lowther Gardens, Mythop and Catforth and was known to many of you. I have no futher details at present.

Margaret Evens died peacefully at her daughters home in Halifax over the weekend of 4th July aged 94. Margaret was a member of Ashton Gardens for ovver 30 years and many of you will remember her as Peggy.

Result of the Florence Metcalfe Competition.
After a thrilling final the competition was won by Joan Beer of Freckleton and Jeanette Preston of Mythop. Congratulations ladies. The losing finalists were Marian Firth of East End and Barbara Pickles of Lowther Gardens.
